What is a Skeleton Clock ? A Skeleton Clock is a mechanical clock that has had much or all of its case removed thus exposing its movement and all its moving parts. The first Skeleton Clocks were made in France in the late 18th century and their manufacture soon spread to England where clockmakers competed to produce more intricate and aesthetically pleasing designs.
