Grande (5 ½ x 3 ¾ x 3 ½" )* The case size of the Grande, the largest case size, gives the room necessary for including all the complications (functions) that can be included with a Matthew Norman carriage clock.

Complications/Functions
Alarm: The hand of the alarm dial, positioned in the centre towards the bottom of the clock face, is set to the hour required using the winding key. For the alarm to sound the ????? must also be wound. The bell, which is struck by a single hammer, is positioned in the bottom of the case.
Strike:
Repeat: The repeat button is positioned on the top of the case towards the front. When pressed the carriage clock strikes the last hour, giving an indication of the time when there is insufficient light to read the time on the dial. This was useful if travelling after the sun had set or after a Gentleman had retired to his bed for the night.
Day & Date: The day and date dials are positioned either side of the alarm dial, the day to the left and the date to the right.
