Lavenham Grandmother Chiming Clock - 6ft 1in
The Lavenham chiming grandmother clock from our collection of longcase clocks by Comitti of London. The yew finish case is decorated with fine yew burr veneer and an ebonised edgeline to the plinth.
The Lavenham is supplied with a triple chime 8 day chain movement with a manual silencer, an automatic night silencer (this stops the clock chiming and striking between 11.00pm and 7.00am) and a lyre pendulum that is visible along with the weights through the fully glazed door. The triple chime function allows you to change the melody that is played at each quarter hour - you have the choice of St. Michael, Whittington or Westminster.
