Walnut Triple Chime Broken Arch Clock 13.25" tall
A classic Georgian chiming broken arch clock in beautiful burr walnut, inspired by the works of Daniel Quare and George Addis, London clockmakers (1700-1790). Made in London by Comitti, clockmakers since 1850, this is a spectacular example of a fine English clock. Housed in the hand waxed walnut case is a polished triple chime movement with a Swiss 9 jewel platform escapement that can play Westminster, St.Michael or Whittington melodies. The brass dial features a silver plated chapter ring, applied brass cherub spandrels, a central etched motif and milled period hands.
