Queen Anne Table Clock - 20" tall
The Queen Anne Table clock is a celebration of fine English clock making. During the reign of Queen Anne, who came to the throne in 1702, the design of clocks shifted from pure practicality to appearance. Our Queen Anne table clock is in the style of John Ellicott (1706 – 1772), one of the greatest English clockmakers, and has an inverted bell top case.
The solid walnut case, with burr walnut veneers inlaid with a satinwood edgeline, boasts hand cut fretwork to the front and is decorated with a period handle and finials in solid brass.
The Queen Anne has a polished ‘nested bell’ triple chime pendulum movement that can be set to play 3 different melodies (Westminster, Whittington or St Michael) or run silent. Individual hammers strike the ‘nested bells’ when the clock chimes and the intricate workings of the movement can be viewed through the fully glazed case.
Production of this exclusive clock is limited to 50 pieces worldwide annually and has a numbered brass plaque and certificate of authenticity - if you would like to confirm current availability or require further information please contact us
