The Windsor Grandmother Clock - yew - 6ft 4in
The Windsor grandmother is an elegantly proportioned clock decorated with rich burr yew book-matched veneers. The hood features a scroll pediment set on pillars and the trunk has a large glazed door aperture which allows you to view the gentle swing of the pendulum and gradual drop of the weights. The plinth is mounted on fine ogee feet.
The eight-day triple chime movement can play Westminster, Winchester or Whittington melodies and has a chime silencer and an automatic night silencer. The dial is solid brass with a silver finish chapter ring and delicate milled hands typical of the period.
