Each solid brass component has been plated with rhodium, which is part of the platinum family, to give the clock a silver effect finish. The base and glass display case have a dark ebony finish and complement the rhodium plated clock perfectly.
This version of The Great Wheel Skeleton Clock is a faithful reproduction of an elegant timepiece originally made in France around the 1890s.
The beauty of the clock is its simplicity. The 14 day movement is fusee-driven, rhodium plated and protected by a glass cover. It has an enamel finish dial and fine period hands.
