'Hoggitt' Crystal Glass Port Decanter - Silver Base
A hand blown lead crystal 'Hoggitt' port decanter with a solid sterling silver base.
Traditionally, when the port is passed around to each guest at the end of a meal, the decanter should not come to rest until it returns to the host. The round bottom of the Hoggitt decanter ensures that a guest, who may have forgotten his manners, cannot “hog” the port as they can't put the decanter down!
The decanter is hand blown by Cumbria Crystal using 24% lead crystal. Each piece is unique, having been made by a team of craftsmen, including a master glassblower who has perfected his skills over at least 10 years.
The materials used in Cumbria Crystal give it the clarity and brilliance that only the finest crystal has. When handling the decanter you will also detect its luxurious feel and weight which denote true quality.
The hallmarked solid sterling silver base is hand made by master craftsmen and fits the rounded base of the decanter perfectly.
The Hoggitt port decanter is supplied in a lined presentation case that makes it ideal to be presented as a corporate gift or award.
