The Chatsworth Grandfather Clock - walnut - 6ft 8in
The break-arch case was first introduced about 1710 and reflects the influence of Georgian architectural design. The dials allowed the introduction of moon-phase detail as illustrated and automata features. The Chatsworth is typical of the work of the London maker William Webster. The Walnut cabinet is decorated with book-matched burr veneers and inlaid with satinwood banding. The case features reeded quarter columns to the trunk and fluted Corinthian pillars to the hood.
FEATURES INCLUDE: *Triple chime movement that plays Westminster, Whittington and St.Michael melodies. *Forward sliding hood for ease of adjustment. *Automatic night silencer, chime sequence and beat correction. *Hand rubbed and waxed cabinet. *Delicate milled hands typical of the period. *Lacquered solid brass fittings. *Bevelled glass.
The price shown for the Chatsworth Grandfather Clock includes delivery and installation on mainland Britain, a 2 year guarantee and the benefit of our Lifetime Support promise. If you would like more information or to confirm availability please contact us
