Sheraton Style Door Stick Mercury Barometer - mahogany
A Sheraton style "Door Stick" mercury barometer, circa 1810. It has a solid mahogany case with feathered veneer and is inlaid with a 'rope' edgeline. The silver plated dial has a Vernier slide, for the barometer readings, as well as a thermometer with a C & F scale. The dial has a glazed door and has laquered brass fittings.
A barometer of outstanding quality that would grace any home and also provide a reliable local forecast.
