Georgian Meat Skewer Letter Opener 8 inch
A faithful reproduction of a Georgian Meat Skewer for use as a letter opener or paper knife. Fashioned in heavy gauge solid sterling silver with feature hallmarks and supplied in a fitted presentation case.
During the reign of King George III (1760-1820), a period of English history famed for its extravagance and luxury, the meat skewer was in general use to hold large pieces of meat in shape on the tables of the gentry.
