Crystal Glass Ships Decanter with Silver Collar
This hand cut lead crystal ships decanter, so called because its wide flat base made it very stable in rough seas, has an elegant hallmarked Sterling Silver collar. A ships decanter was originally used to hold port or wine but it could be used for whisky, brandy or navy rum.
The decanter is hand blown by Dartington Crystal using 24% lead crystal. Each piece is unique, having been made by a team of up to 12 craftsmen, including a master glassblower who has perfected his skills over at least 10 years.
The materials used in Dartington Crystal give it the clarity and brilliance that only the finest crystal has. When handling the decanter you will also detect its luxurious feel and weight which denote true quality.
The decanter is supplied in a lined presentation case that makes it ideal to be presented as an award.
