'Hogget' Crystal Glass Port Decanter - 6mm Silver band

A hand cut lead crystal 'Hogget' port decanter with a solid mahogany base encircled with an engravable 6mm sterling silver band.

Traditionally, when the port is passed around to each guest at the end of a meal, the decanter should not come to rest until it returns to the host. The round bottom of the Hogget decanter ensures that a guest, who may have forgotten his manners, cannot “hog” the port as they can't put the decanter down!

The decanter is hand blown by Staffordshire Crystal using 30% lead crystal. Each piece is unique, having been made by a team of craftsmen, including a master glassblower who has perfected his skills over at least 10 years.

The materials used in Staffordshire Crystal give it the clarity and brilliance that only the finest crystal has. When handling the decanter you will also detect its luxurious feel and weight which denote true quality.

The mahogany base is hand turned and burnished (polished) before the hallmarked solid silver band is attached. The mahogany is sourced from sustainable growth plantations in West Africa.

The decanter is supplied in a lined presentation case that makes it ideal to be presented as a corporate gift or award.
